Sam Mercury is an emerging playwright. Her first play “mixed(er),”which she co-wrote with Alten Wilmot, is a comedy inspired by their shared experiences growing up biracial in the Waterloo Region currently in production with MT Space. She is based in Kitchener.

Following a young Black hockey player through childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood as he contends with his love of the game and the racism that comes with it.
